You know when you're at a job interview and your potential employer asks you--in my opinion--the hardest question to ever exist at an interview? The-"Why should I hire you?"-question? I'm not gonna lie, sometimes when I'm doing client consultations, I feel like I'm answering this question without being asked the question. Yes, you have a choice to hire me or not hire me. But here's what you don't get a choice in when you do. You don't get to choose whether or not we'll click. Because truth be told, if you hired me we already do.
You don't get to choose whether or not I over-communicate with you, because I will. You don't get to choose whether or not you get birthday and anniversary shout-outs, because you will. You don't get to choose whether or not you'll get compliments left and right on the day of you session or wedding. They're coming for you (and not just because I say it to everyone because 99.999999% of the time it's true)! And you don't get to choose whether or not heart-shaped emoji texts come days leading up to your session or wedding! Because it will happen..more than once. (Maybe twice.) You see, to me, my work is personal. The environment I strive for with all my clients is a personal one. I put my blood, sweat and tears in my work. Seriously, I once slipped at the park, ripped my leggings and scrapped my knees while laughing so hard I cried and it was like 102 degrees outside. #truestory So if you're on the fence about hiring me as your photographer, hopefully this sways you to my side of the fence. But if not, hey. No hard feelings. Just make sure your photographer serves you well, makes you feel at ease and is a no-brainer. Because remember, these artists are the ones with you during your biggest milestones. And you don't want to compromise with that, do you?
