I met Natalie at the bottom of a hell of hike in a park in Sylmar, California when I nearly passed out from what i believed was a heatstroke. (Luckily, there was an old man with tiny water bottles in his backpack to help me. But that’s for a whole different story.)
Since then, I’ve had the privilege of photographing Natalie and Miguel’s wedding and other important life moments. Part of what I do as a photographer that I love, is when I get to see my clients’ families grow and watch how they evolve as people. They’re story as a family is unique as everyone else’s is, but that doesn’t make their story any lesser than another’s.
I can’t wait to watch them grow and see where life take them...but for now, let’s just let them be...young and in love as they are right now.
She went to the same Starbucks spot she always goes to and ordered what she always ordered: a no-foam vanilla latte with an add shot. Everything was the same as it's always been, except that day--that day was different.
She was engaged.
