As I wipe off all that sweaty gross-ness that is July heat in Los Angeles, I'm sitting in a coffee shop where the WiFi is weak, the cold brew is stiff, and the AC is strong.
After another month, I think this month was a great month for business opportunities, creativity juices were flowing and better lifestyle choices were made. So yet again, let's break-down how we did this month...
An overcast summer day calls for humidity and beautifully lit up photos during this family portrait session with awesome humans and their little munchkins.
Our session took place in Brand Park Community in Mission Hills, Ca. where the garden is beautiful and the space carries so much history as it sits right across the street from the historic San Fernando Mission. It is one of my newest favorite hidden gems of the San Fernando Valley.
Hanging up photos in your living room, home office, or even your kitchen to bring life and character into the space.
I've mentioned this before, but there's also something to be said about having photographs printed and tangible in your hands; The feel of the paper, the lustre finish, the way the colors pop! Magical.
Since I've had the pleasure of photographing the coolest clients, I thought to put together a how-to guide on creating your own photo gallery to put up in your home or office space.
You know that feeling when you’ve thought about an idea over and over again and you finally just decide--why not??
Yeah, that’s how I feel about my first ever print shop!
As a photographer, I live and breathe photography. But there’s just something about actually having tangible photos in your hand. So, when I thought to open up and offer prints of my photography I thought how fun would it be to be able to have my work hang up in other amazing people’s homes (even if I’ve never photographed them as clients)?
And guess what? Not only do I have prints, but I have the cutest home pieces and daily items with my photography on it! Take a look!
Do you remember back when you would walk into a photo studio to take your family portraits or when you and your friends would take pictures together to give to everyone?
The process of choosing where to go and how the pictures would come out was part of deciding whether or not you got your pictures taken there. Similarly, as photographers we use your photos to showcase what we can do for someone like you, a potential client, their friends or family members. The idea is simple--people always want to see what they'll get before they decide.
Gone are the days of burning a CD of images or a DVD slideshow for clients. Insert the times of instant gratification when you receive a link directly to your private online digital photo gallery right to your inbox (say that one five times fast)!
When my clients hire me, they all get a personalized photo gallery where they can view, download and share (soon purchase print straight from gallery) their images as soon as they receive their link. With Pixieset, they have revolutionized my delivery by light years!
If you're wondering how I deliver my photo sessions and wedding online galleries, you are in for a good one where I walk through how to navigate the gallery and download them.
This is gonna be good...
