As I close out the last week of April, I am just filled with just gratitude.
Today is my birthday, which is it's what I like to think of as the end of a chapter and the beginning of a new chapter as May rolls in. This month had so many highlights for my business and I'm so glad you're here to reminisce with me as I go through everything amazing that happened.
End of an Era!
To the Person I Never Thought I'd Meet,
Where did you even come from? In a blink of an eye, you stood right in front of me and I didn't even see you coming.
Thank you for saving my life. Thank you for always being there for me and all the cheesy popcorn things I can continue to say.
Before you, I always thought to myself I could be content being with where I was. And to be completely honest, I really was. To be even more honest, you made me realize that I can be more than just content, but to be truly happy. You took a risk in putting yourself out on a limb, and I took the risk in meeting you off that limb, and I'm so happy I did.
Just when I thought I've already done the cutest birthday mini-sessions, something that my heart cannot even handle comes along like this week's Mickey Mouse themed birthday smash.
This was Baby Adrian's first solo session with me and he was the cutest thing dressed in his little red shorts, black suspenders, a yellow bow-tie and who can forget Mickey's ears?
It wasn't long until we found a little spot in one of my favorite parks, O'Melveney Park in the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles.
The morning had a subtle overcast and this session went by so quickly! But OMG, did little Adrian deliver!
See for yourself...
You've had this idea to do family portraits and you've finally found the photographer who's going to do it. You've booked me as your photographer. Now what?
You could go straight into it not knowing what to do (but if you're with me, you won't go in blind *pinky promise*), or you could keep reading and see how you can prepare yourself and your family what to look into before your spring session day.
Here are some tips on how to prepare for your planned spring session...
It's amazing to think that these little humans just pop out of what feels like nowhere into a moving world and instantly into the hearts of many who already love them even before they were a thought. I think that's exactly what happened when little Alexander was born and brought into a big family and loving home.
Once I arrived to their home for their in-home session, almost the whole family was home--grandma, grandpa, aunts, uncle, mom, dad and even their family dogs and cat.
The day was slightly cloudy with a nice light breeze as I set up my little set-up by their big sliding door in their living room. As soon as little 'Zander was ready for his close-up, Mama laid him down and I began shooting. With every yawn and wiggle, his aunt's heart-melted as she watched and called him a "little angel" as he slept right through the session. His little "I Love Mommy & Naps" onesie clearly didn't lie...
